Iron Man Art Jam

My submission for the iron man Jam for artjammers.

Thanks to Kelvin for setting this up.
Was trying to go for a "childlike" drawing look with wriggly lines.. Halfway through the process i thought of removing the faceplate showing Tony Stark's face to give it a little more character and cheekiness.

Inspired by Katsuya Terada's Monkey King.

Just watched Stephen Chow's Journey to the West yesterday. Other than the fact that the final battle sequence was ripping off Asura's Wrath, I really enjoyed the movie! Very fresh take on the characters. Looking forward to a sequel.

This is the set of tools I use to create the sculpt. Along with some galvanize wires and super sculpey.

Update.

Recently I tried to pick up sculpturing. It's been a while since I tried sculpture And it was a good refresher course. Learn a lot thanks to Adeeb. (Also a wake up call to drill myself more on anatomy after this) I'm trying to sculpt Monkey King from journey to the west. I was inspired by Katsuya Terada's Monkey King But trying to have add some personal touch to it.
